On projects across the country, we have delivered impressive results.
- In Kansas, an RNG facility saw methane capture increase by 32% over four years, totaling more than 614,000 MMBTUs — generating a significant increase in revenue from MMBTUs sold. The RNG upgrading facility had previously struggled to maintain gas quality during rapidly changing weather conditions, relying on manual tuning. Through automated wellhead tuning and actionable data, the LoCI system increased methane captured, improved plant performance, and improved safety across the wellfield.
- In Washington, another RNG project reversed a three-year declining sales trend while manually tuning its gas collection system. Using the LoCI system, the project increased methane yields by 12% over two and a half years. LoCI’s technology allowed technicians to monitor and adjust gas quality in real time, leading to significant reductions in nitrogen concentrations. The RNG facility improved its landfill gas consistency and plant efficiencies, as well as increased its methane yield significantly.
- Across 10 additional projects in seven states, LoCI increased methane capture by an average of 17% based on ACR methodology and results from manual versus LoCI’s automated wellfield tuning.
- And at multiple landfills, our recommendations to upsize wellheads — where gas flow is restrained due to pressure drops from insufficiently-sized wellheads — have led to sustained improvements in gas flow, further maximizing methane capture and ROI from MMBTUs sold. Landfill operators could monitor flow improvements in real-time to continuously optimize their systems and see significant improvements in gas capture.
