LoCI Controls, Inc. Achieves Milestone with Exceptional Safety Record

More than 100,000 field service hours - Total Recordable Incident Rate of 0%

(Wareham, MA) October 20, 2021 – LoCI Controls, Inc., the leader in automated landfill gas (LFG) collection, announced today that the company has achieved a Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) of 0%, with over 100,000 safe hours worked in support of our customers landfill gas collection operations. A US measure of occupational safety and health, the TRIR assesses safety incidents as a comparison of workplace conditions. LoCI Controls, Inc. has not had a single a lost time incident in its history, meaning to date no Loci employee has sustained a work-related injury or illness which resulted in loss time.  

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires employers with more than ten employees to maintain a record of serious work-related injuries and illnesses. According to the US Bureau of Labor and Statistics (BLS), the national average for TRIR is 3.1%. For small companies with up to 49 employees, the average is 2.4%. The BLS average for the landfill industry is 4.2%.  

LoCI’s technology reduces the amount of time personnel must spend in the landfill itself, which is a dynamic and hazardous environment to work in; it reduces odors associated with emissions; and it also reduces Non-Methane Organic Compound emissions, which have adverse human health consequences.
